Ashdown Psychology Services Ltd was founded by Dr Emma Stevens
I am a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered with the British Psychological Society.
I work in an integrative way, drawing on a range of psychological models including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic, Psychodynamic and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for problems such as depression, anxiety and trauma. I also have a particular interest in Attachment Theory and how that can help my clients overcome their problems.
With over fifteen years extensive experience working in both the NHS and private healthcare sector, I am a Principal Clinical Psychologist within the NHS, leading a psychology team.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help a range of problems and am currently working towards accreditation under specialist supervision.
Approach
Psychology sessions can help people who are struggling with low mood or anxiety. I support people who are feeling stuck or that their negative thinking is holding them back.
